Bob Berry
Level III Support for CR+
Bob Berry has been in the computer industry since 1975. He has acquired a wide range
of experience, working as a Computer Operator, Applications Programmer, Systems Programmer,
Network Engineer, Product Developer, and Customer Technical Support Specialist in a
variety of industries, including education, advertising, insurance, aerospace, and import/export.

In 1999, Bob joined Mainstar as a Developer. He worked on Backup & Recovery Manager™ Suite
and was on the original team that developed Catalog RecoveryPlus™ (CR+™). Bob joined
the Technical Support team as Level 3 Support for CR+ in 2002.
Bob enjoys spending time with his wife and with their three children, and five grandchildren.
He is active in the community and has served as an officer for many associations, including
religious organizations, the Boy Scouts, ACM, and NaSPA.

Steven Clar
Product Manager
During his 25 years in mainframe storage management, disaster recovery, and MVS systems,
Steven Clar has supported and managed shops ranging from one terabyte of storage to over
one hundred terabytes of storage, in industries ranging from banking and insurance to
pharmaceutical and outsourcing companies. As the Product Manager for
Mainstar's HSM & Storage Tools, he travels extensively, sharing his knowledge and discussing emerging
|
challenges. Steven's expertise is in managing shops proactively. He regularly presents at national
technical conferences such as SHARE, IBM® Storage Symposium, and CMG, as well as international
technical conferences, and co-authored the IBM Redbooks® publication DFSMShsm Audit and
Mainstar: FastAudit/390.
Both technical staff and management appreciate his open, direct style. Steven assiduously
analyzes each customer's unique challenges and creates a solution that not only meets their
needs, but also exceeds their expectations.

Reggie Culpepper
Technical Sales Architect
Reggie Culpepper has over 30 years of experience in mainframe technical and systems support in the financial
services and insurance industries. In the last 10 years, Reggie has focused on DB2® database administration.
As a DB2 Systems Database Administrator, he automated and scripted offsite business recovery models and trained
numerous application database administrators.

Earlier in his career, as a systems programmer, he was responsible for DASD management and APL and RACF administration, as well as VSAM tuning and quality assurance. As a Customer Support Analyst, he assisted and trained users in JCL problem recovery, TSO, ISPF, ROSCOE, VM, CMS, and OS/MVS utilities.
n his personal time, Reggie is an avid reader, photographer, and poet. He is active in his local community and church, which he enjoys with the support of his wife of 27 years and his two children.

Since 1974, Brett Dukes has been working with mainframes, from OS/VS1 to MVS/ESA and z/OS®.

Omegamon® and Automation solutions for 12 years, Brett helped numerous
U.K. blue-chip companies through challenging situations.
Brett joined Mainstar in 2004 and now shares his knowledge as a Mainstar Technical Sales Engineer.
Brett and his wife, Hazel, have been married since 1983 and have a daughter, Rebecca, and a
Border Collie. Outside of Mainstar, Brett enjoys nothing better than taking his Suzuki Jeep
4x4 off-roading and rock crawling into the U.K. wilderness. He is also the captain of a local
Domino team.

Colleen Gordon
Manager of Technical Sales
and Professional Services
Colleen Gordon is an industry-recognized expert on OS/390® and z/OS disaster
preparedness, with over 25 years of experience in technical support, storage
management, and disaster recovery. Since joining Mainstar
in 1997, she has assisted many Fortune 500 companies with the design and
implementation of their disaster backup and recovery procedures.
Today, as Mainstar's Manager of Technical Sales and

Professional Services, Colleen designs cost-effective data management solutions for all aspects of
the data center, including disaster preparedness.
Known for presenting detailed information in an engaging, straightforward
manner, Colleen is the co-author of two IBM Redbooks® publications, DFSMShsm ABARS and
Mainstar Solutions and DFSMShsm Audit and Mainstar: FastAudit/390, and has
written numerous articles for industry journals, including Technical Support
Magazine, Disaster Recovery Journal, and Enterprise Systems Journal.
She has been a regular speaker at SHARE, Storage Symposium, z/OS and OS/390
Expo and Performance Conference, CPM, and other technical conferences.

Elliot Hamilton
Level 3 Support for CR+
Elliot Hamilton has been involved with IBM's MVT, VS1, SVS, XA, and
numerous variations of MVS since the mid 1970s. He gained VSAM and catalog
expertise through experience as a systems Programmer and as a System Engineer
and Instructor for Amdahl Corporation. As one of the
early instructors for Mainstar Software Corporation (formerly Software Information Services,
Inc. - SIS ),
|
Elliot worked closely with Ron Ferguson presenting VSAM and ICF Catalog classes around the world,
but with a special concentration on Western Europe, the U.K.,
and Scandinavia. When Mainstar's customers' needs
changed, Elliot worked with the Mainstar Software Development staff on numerous
projects, including Catalog RecoveryPlus (CR+)
and VSAM Manager. Currently, Elliot provides Level 3
Support for CR+, using his expertise in identifying tricky and difficult
problems within ICF catalogs to search out brilliant CR+ solutions.
On a personal note, Elliot enjoys private aviation, motorcycling, home-brewing, and the
local Lions Club. As a part owner of a Piper Comanche single-engine aircraft, Elliot has
flown to both U.S. coasts, southern Canada, and the Florida Keys. Elliot lives with his
wife, Tanja, in the Chicago area. His son serves overseas with the U.S. Army and his
daughter lives in North Carolina.

Geoff Littlewood
Technical Sales Engineer
With over 30 years of experience with mainframe systems, including extensive
writing and lecturing, Geoff Littlewood shares his technical expertise clearly
and directly. Geoff joined IBM (UK) Ltd. in 1970 and worked there for 32 years,
as a Customer Account Systems Engineer, as a Lecturer at
IBM's Education Centre in the UK (teaching MVS, Assembler, VSAM, and IMS courses),
as a Country Specialist in
|
Storage Products at the UK Field Systems Centre (covering VSAM, SMS, disks, and tapes for large systems), and as the
European Early Support Programmes Manager for IBM's High End Storage products,
including the Shark (Enterprise Storage Server®) and IBM's SAN and NAS products.
During his time at IBM, he developed educational material for the rollout of the
IBM 3380, 3375, and the supporting storage product programs. Before retiring from
IBM in March 2002, Geoff co-authored five IBM Redbooks® publications covering IBM's tape automation
products and several releases of DFSMS.
Now, as a Mainstar Technical Sales Engineer, Geoff assists Mainstar's customers throughout
Europe. He enjoys helping customers solve their storage management problems. Geoff plays
tennis, squash, and the piano. He is married with three children and one granddaughter.

Ian Magill
Senior Quality Assurance Tester
Since 1969, Ian Magill has worked with IBM mainframes. He possesses a keen knowledge of
mainframe installations and their needs, developed through extensive experience in the
retail and manufacturing industries, including work in the following roles: Computer
Operator, Applications Programmer, Project Lead, Storage Management Systems Programmer,
and AIX Systems Programmer.

Ian first worked with Mainstar as a consultant for Tivoli® Storage Management (TSM).
In this position he installed and implemented TSM on client systems to manage their backup
and recovery of non-mainframe systems. Ian also implemented TSM at Mainstar and oversees
its current use.
Today, Ian shares his broad understanding of mainframe installations as a QA Tester for
Mainstar. He is currently focused on
Catalog RecoveryPlus (CR+)
and the installation procedures for all products. Ian has created an extensive QA testing
environment where standard test scenarios are executed and the results are reviewed.
His expertise helps to perfect and to refine Mainstar's stellar tools.

Ron Ratcliffe
Product Manager
Ron Ratcliffe has worked with most of the IBM operating systems over the last 35 years and has
been providing Storage Systems consulting services for the last 10 years. His experience includes
development and systems programming, Storage Systems customer and Systems Engineer support at the
Western Area Technical Support Center and services offerings development for the Storage Systems
Competency Center in San Jose.

As a result, he has provided extensive support and services domestically and internationally for DASD
and tape migrations, DFSMShsm™ education, implementation and reviews, DFSMS education, implementation
and reviews, and ABARS education and implementation. In addition, he has provided technical review
services for a number of IBM Redbooks publications.
Ron is currently the Product Manager for Backup & Recovery™ Suite, comprised of ASAP™, All/Star™, and ABARS Manager™.
Ron lives with his wife in North Monterey County, California and their two children reside in
Southern California. In his spare time he enjoys English sports cars, camping, fishing, woodworking, and handball.

Programmer with a focus in storage for Seattle First National Bank, a subsidiary of Bank of America, Kelly
joined Mainstar in 1994 as a consultant and sales engineer and is now a Mainstar Product Manager.
Kelly regularly writes and speaks on mainframe issues. Her low-key, unflappable manner and logical approach
helps clarify even the most complex issues. Kelly wrote the IBM Redbooks publication Mainstar MS/VCR: The Tool for Efficient
Device Cloning and co-authored the first edition of DFSMShsm ABARS and Mainstar Solutions. She writes numerous
White Papers and offers informative webcasts. Kelly regularly presents at the IBM Storage Symposium, SHARE, and User Group Meetings.
Kelly lives in Colorado and in her spare time enjoys her dogs, camping, and riding her horses.

Janet Sun
Product Manager
Janet Sun has over 20 years of mainframe systems programming experience
in the aerospace and automotive industries. Her expertise spans operating
system management, performance management, storage management, data security,
web server management, and disaster recovery planning. At Mainstar, she is

Janet travels extensively worldwide, visiting both large and small companies
to share her knowledge and skills, and help design solutions to disaster recovery
challenges. She frequently presents at user conferences such as SHARE and the
